Great location, close to Queen Victoria Markets. Friendly staff provided helpful budget options. Clean and eco-friendly bathrooms with timer lights. Spacious and comfortable rooms with extra blankets available. Enjoyable stay.

I had a great time staying here; the place is relatively quiet and the location is convenient. The communal areas are spacious, well maintained, and clean, with a nice terrace. The staff are helpful and provide excellent customer service, making my stay here even more comfortable.

There were a few minor issues like closing doors and sensitive mattresses that may disturb some guests, but overall I recommend this place. I met amazing people from different parts of the world and enjoyed using the shared kitchen and the leisure/TV room.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, as it was close to both the Victoria Markets and the Queen Market. it was conveniently located near the free tram zone, making it easy for me to explore the city. The hotel facilities were great, especially the rooftop area with a fine view, especially at sunset. The cleanliness of the ensuite room was great, and I appreciated the fact that a kettle was provided.

The hostel is conveniently located, with easy access to the city center and close proximity to Victoria Market. It is also very close to the tram line, allowing for easy transportation to various attractions in the area. Despite being outside the free tram zone, the walk to the nearest tram stop is manageable. The communal areas, including a spacious kitchen, provided ample opportunities for cooking and socializing. The bathroom and shower facilities were clean and well-maintained.

The room was extremely basic and not up to hotel standards, with tiny beds and limited facilities. The TV didn't work properly and the toilet had a constant trickling sound.

The rooftop at Metro YHA offers a wonderful city view and the kitchen is big and clean. I appreciated their initiatives to care for the environment. The hostel is also quiet and the cleaning is good. Free filtered water is a nice touch.

Cheap, good location, friendly staff, ensuite private room was good, clean bedding.

As longer term business travelers, we found the Melbourne Metro YHA to have basic amenities that suited our needs. The 24-hour reception service was helpful, and our room was quiet and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to find heaters in the room, which added to our comfort. The kitchen, although we didn't use it, seemed well-equipped and provided a variety of affordable breakfast options. The whole place had a good vibe, and the staff were friendly. The location was great for our purposes, being close to Melbourne Uni and Fitzroy. Additionally, the YHA was easily accessible from the airport with a direct transfer service.

We felt right at home at the Melbourne Metro YHA, and the staff were always willing to assist us. It felt like nothing was too much trouble during our stay.
